Mechanical Equipment Repair Instruction & Testing (M.E.R.I.T.)

M.E.R.I.T. Overview

M.E.R.I.T. is an acronym for Mechanical Equipment Repair Instruction & Testing. This program is MSA’s certified maintenance and repair training program for Fall Arrest Equipment. It is designed for MSA Channel Partners or large end user owners who need to be able to repair and maintain MSA self-retracting lanyards and related fall protection equipment.

The M.E.R.I.T. training program is intended for technicians who will be repairing, inspecting and testing fall protection equipment on a regular basis.

There are 2 programs available, M.E.R.I.T. and M.E.R.I.T. Lite. The M.E.R.I.T. Program covers the full line of MSA fall protection products while the M.E.R.I.T. Lite program covers newer products including the Aptura and Workman line. Required equipment and tools should be in place before scheduling training.

Registration for either program requires prior approval from MSA sales and service management.
